Rather than open up the door panels to cap' the wiring off/disconnect wiring, many owners choose to hardwire a small electronic trickle charger onto the car to maintain the battery, and there are threads on that you Q7 MK 1 Discussion - Q7 starting Problems - Hi, my name is Ali, i'm new(ish) to the forum but have been lurking around for a while. I have a problem with my Q7 and was wondering if anyone could help. I have 2006 Q7 S line 3.0 tdi, it was upgraded to a 2012 spec inside out by the previous owner. For a while now, 6-8 In case of Engine Starting Issues please make sure that you are really experience an Immobilizer related Problem! Even if the Immobilizer engages, the Engine will still start fine but cut out after 2-3 Seconds. If you are NOT experiencing this behavior (e.g. Engine doesn't start at all) your Problem is very likely NOT Immobilizer related.
R0oster31. My 2011 Q7 wipers started by flashing a warning that my wipers were defective but would still function intermittently. Within 2 days they failed completely. I checked everything I could and it seemed to be the wiper motor. I replaced the motor and no longer get a warning but the wipers still do not function.
FWIW, No expert on this issue in the Q7, but I've had several other cars where the ventilation system's 'root-cause' problem was the resistor (provides the variable speed of the blower fan by reducing power throughput, etc), which presented in the car as an issue with the blower motor not running, or cutting in/out, etc.
Checked the A1 (Engine Component Power Supply Relay J757) + A2 (Motronic Engine Supply Relay J271) , both checked ok for resistance as well as function. Looked through a number of wiring diagrams and noticed that most if not all of these modules are fed at some point via the J329 terminal 15 supply relay under seat.
Active grill air shutter fault is a known issue in Q7. Look for this thread on this forum. But in my opinion, this does not explain the sudden jumps and drops in temperature, as well as such a large loss of coolant. Small residue of coolant on some hoses may be the right guideline explaining the coolant lose. GVnQVaY.
