Cobra348. From inside the car the key is the only way - other than crawling thru the seats. In a situation where you are IN the car and wife/SO is outside but needing trunk, the keyfob release is one way. If all doors are unlocked, then there is a manual trunk release along the upper edge of the license plate holder.
