Associated Quest: Side Quest (Companion): Long Road Ahead. Romance: Yes. Perk: Killshot. You’ll need to develop your friendship with your companion if you want them to fall in love with you. This is where having high Charisma stats will be beneficial. The more time you spend with the companion, the more options you’ll have to flirt with them.
How you had Jericho , Charon , fawkeys fallout 3. Yes I know new Vegas different but old fallouts had followers. For evil companions I was thinking ex enclave soldier or a super mutant. For good townsperson like a sheriff or something. I know about this ghoul raul you can save from super mutants in NV and he will be your companion.
Each time you do this you can hire one new companion. Simply give away water or hack terminals in Megaton to adjust karma as needed. This way you can actually form a gang in the Wasteland and have as many people as you can afford follow you. It's like Fallout 1 and 2 where you can have 5-6 people at once.
The player can have only 3 active companions at a time, which can be increased to 5 for 350 Zen per slot. Active companions can be switched between anytime the player is out of combat and the

I always thought it was really cool how you could have the whole party with you in Fallout 1. Not a lot of games let you do that, so it was sad to see that they didn't continue this in 3, NV, and 4 (Fallout 2 is a bit better with how many companions you get to bring). Too many games limit you to a set amount (usually 1 or 2), like KOTOR and There are a ton of empty settlements in Fallout 4. What you’ll need to do to kick off companion organization is find one of these settlements. If you can find a settlement with pre-equipped crafting stations, beds, food, water, or defenses, it would be preferable, but the only real requirement is that it is spacious enough to fit around 15 NPCs.
A few last things to note: changing your karma level temporarily to get a specific companion is very easy to do. Also, Jericho, Clover, and RL-3 require a payment of 1000 caps (500 with high enough Barter) to be recruited, in addition to the karma requirement, and Charon requires a payment of 2000 caps or killing a specific NPC to be recruited
